She Li is the alias of a character in the 19 Days manhua.

Description & Plot

She Li is a nickname. Real name not yet known.

She Li is prone to be the main antagonist of 19 Days and is an enemy to Mo Guan Shan originally.

In chapter 294, we discover he was diagnosed with the rare pure sensory variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a condition characterised by sensory loss. While he is in hospital, he slips away from his carers unnoticed. This is when he first sees a young Mo Guan Shan, who is being held by his mother while he cries.

The next interaction between She Li and Mo Guan Shan (that the audience knows of) occurs in an alleyway at night. She Li saves Mo Guan Shan from an unknown assailant. This is depicted in chapter 319.

A lot of classmates and schoolmates of his seems to be afraid of She Li, due to his bullying and violent nature. He also likes to taunt people and doesn't care for the outcome.

It is unknown why, but She Li has attempted to damage Mo Guan Shan's reputation and to cause him physical harm. He asks Mo Guan Shan to take the fall for a supposed theft, it then turns out he was asking Mo Guan Shan to take the blame for the sexual assault of a girl around his age. He also throws a can out of a window, which was targeted at Mo Guan Shan. Both failed because He Tian protected Mo Guan Shan.

He also pierced Mo Guan Shan's ears when they were two years younger, to punish Mo Guan Shan for trying to protect his friend from him. In chapter 317, he comments on the black studs given to Mo Guan Shan, and reminds Mo Guan Shan that it was him, She Li, who pierced his ears.

Many people believe that She Li likes Mo Guan Shan, although others believe Mo Guan Shan is nothing more than a toy to She Li. He seems to show an interest in Jian Yi early on, many have hypothesized this is due to the anger Mo Guan Shan expresses concerning Jian Yi in chapter 117. Nevertheless, whatever the relationship between Jian Yi and Mo Guan Shan: friendship, ownership, or a rivalry, there does seem to be elements of obsession. In chapter 293, She Li is seen staring at He Tian and Mo Guan Shan, who are laughing. In the next chapter, he is seen angrily scratching at the bathroom door. The are various other occasions upon which She Li watches over Mo Guan Shan.

He doesn't make many appearances, since he isn't a main character. However, he does have a strong personality.

He has saved Guan Shan's life when they were younger and tried to help him get out of school. He also offered for him to work at their family business later on. He's also tried to greet Jian Yi, but it didn't work out well.

Trivia

  • He always wears two silver rings and a strand of Buddhist beads around his wrist.
  • He usually wears black clothes when not in his school uniform.
  • His family appears to be very rich, but he looks like he makes his money on his own and occasionally helps others make money by offering them scapegoat roles.
  • She Li is reportedly the head school bully in junior high, but does not seem to be a match for He Tian in a one-on-one fight.
  • He appears to initially have started off to revolve around Guan-Shan as a catalyst for his character development and the antagonist for the story arc.
  • She Li unofficially debuted in chapter 117, listening into a conversation to find out Jian Yi's name. His face is not seen, but the rings and beaded bracelet are dead giveaways. He doesn't show up again until chapter 177.
  • After meeting Jian Yi in person face-to-face, he sits in the car and thinks about how nice Jian Yi's skin looks.
  • The next time he encounters Jian Yi, he is hit with a bottle of juice for sneaking up on him. He takes his shirt off and tells Jian Yi to lick it clean.
  • He has pale hair, yellow eyes, and very thin eyebrows, like Jian Yi.
  • Like He Tian, he started out as a nameless faceless background character who rose to the surface.
  • In September 2017, Old Xian released a series of chibis, revealing that She Li was merely his nickname.
  • One version of the name She Li means Buddhist monk, possibly a reference about his prayer beads. (阇梨)
